The North Carolina High School Athletic Association released the 2019-2020 average daily membership numbers for its member schools on Monday afternoon.

Average daily membership numbers, or ADMs, are used to determine which schools will go into the large and small subdivisions when the football playoff pairings are announced this weekend.

Of the four Wilkes County High Schools, two schools (Wilkes Central and West Wilkes) saw a drop in their number while one (North Wilkes) saw an increase. East Wilkes had the same number at 519.

Fellow Mountain Valley Athletic Conference schools Ashe County and Alleghany saw a drop in their numbers while Elkin’s number was the same. Starmount saw an increase.
