Brody Cagna scored three touchdowns and Derek Matthews added a touchdown for the Falcons, who improved to 3-0 with a shutout win Friday night at Ebb Tharpe Field in Ronda.
Cagna, a senior fullback, scored on runs of 2 and 6 yards in the first half and 5 yards in the second half.
Dasaun Dalton gave the Falcons a 3-0 lead on their first possession with a 29-yard field goal.
Cagna’s first touchdown made it a 10-0 game, and after a short punt, Luke Bennett’s 20-yard run set up Cagna’s second score.
Malik Dunlap recovered a Garrett Vernon fumble, and quarterback Casey Graham’s 11-yard pass to Joe Hennings moved the ball to the East Wilkes 4-yard line. Matthews scored from there to make it 24-0 at halftime.
Bennett ran for 100 yards, his third game of at least 100 yards rushing.
East Wilkes quarterback Caeden Howell completed 14 of 24 passes, with eight of them going to junior receiver Bryson Sidden, good for 68 yards.
The Cardinals’ best drive came late in the third quarter, when they moved from their 5-yard line to the Forbush 30 in 12 plays. But Sidden was stopped short on fourth-and-six.
East Wilkes committed three turnovers.
