The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission is offering a youth-only deer hunting opportunity at the Warrior Creek Recreational Area in Boomer on Saturday, Nov. 14.

BOONE — Beginning with Thursday’s home football game against Arkansas State (7:30 p.m., ESPN), App State will welcome a limited number of spectators to Kidd Brewer Stadium, while prioritizing the health and safety of fans, student-athletes and staff.

The N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission has designated Saturday, Sept. 26, as a Youth Deer Hunting Day for 2020. On Saturday, youth 17 and younger may use any legal weapon to hunt deer of either sex and are not required to be accompanied by an adult if they have completed a hunter education course.
