In his column on Saloon Studio and the Woodstock event held in August in West Jefferson (“Woodstock tribute in Ashe,” Aug. 27) Mr. Marty McGee stated that they have an “outstanding light and sound system that resonates throughout the hills of West Jefferson.”

I live across the road from this studio and the sound did not resonate throughout the hills of West Jefferson.

The only sound that reaches the surrounding neighborhood is mix of static and a pounding noise. No music comes from this to the hills.

This undesirable noise continued for many hours over the course of those two weekends.

I invite Mr. McGee or any of your staff to visit my home when there is another outdoor event at Saloon Studio or just park in the neighborhood, then give an honest report on the sounds that “resonate throughout the hills.”
