It’s voting time once again. We should all be engaged in doing what is right to better our town. Get out and vote, and vote for the right people. Let’s get our town back on its feet. Don’t complain and then do nothing about the town’s problems. We, the people, are the system and we need a change. Each of us should be motivated to get out there and vote to preserve this town for future generations.

Ask questions and check into what each candidate stands for. Vote for those who love our town and want to better it, not praise themselves. We are the only ones who can achieve bettering our town. We need to heal our town. So, go vote but better yet, stand up for what is right.

Your vote has power and I, myself, am realizing how powerful this can be. As the saying goes: The time to think about tomorrow is today. Knowledge is power, but only if one uses wisdom to know how to use it.

As I’ve said before, some of our leaders we have in office now are not blessed with wisdom. So, come on people, let’s ring in a new year with new faces and ideas for our great town of Wilkesboro. I’ll leave you with a saying I heard. “The power of the people is greater than the people in power.” So, get out and vote.
