Exercise your right to vote

The constitutional right of all Americans to vote without interference is truly the most valuable right in our democratic form of government, and it has never been tested quite as much as it is being tested now.

I am pleased to see that the Wilkes Journal-Patriot is dedicating attention to public awareness of registration, early voting and absentee voting so that our community is well informed of their options. I encourage all citizens to exercise their most valuable right. Plan your vote to make sure it counts.

GWEN SHAFER,

Chair of

Indivisible Wilkes,

Wilkesboro, N.C.
