“Love others, don’t judge,” “Inclusion, not division needed” and “Compassion is the answer” are the titles of three lengthy letters recently published in the Wilkes Journal-Patriot,  all reflecting and promoting abortion and the LGBTQ lifestyle in response to a letter from Rev. Ken Pardue, which I did not read.

All three letters justified their views with the same misinformed and/or misguided views of life and in direct contradiction to Biblical teaching which they obviously choose to ignore or misquote.

That being the case, I feel these words will have no effect on the writers, but true Christians have an obligation to pray that the Holy Spirit will change their mindset.

Following are some statements from those letters that must be addressed.

“What constitutes the Biblical family?” Only those born again believers who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to follow His teachings as found in the Holy Bible unedited and unchanged by man.

“In Israel today, women can get an abortion on demand.” Not quite, as there are very strict guidelines to be followed.

Exodus 21 (not 22) refers to “’premature birth” not death. As for the abortion issue, Psalm 139:13 says, “You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” In Jeremiah 1:4, we have “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”

I would suppose most people who support this barbaric practice are glad they weren’t aborted.

“Biblical teachings no longer reflect our society”; is directly contrary to the Bible.

Hebrews 13:89, “Jesus (who is God) Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. So do not be attracted by strange, new ideas.”

The Word of God has never and will never change. Only people who forsake God change and then they attempt to change and twist the Word to suit their evil purposes.

“It is more likely that the thing that is ‘destroying’ the family is replacing love with control.”

Partly true in that the “love” of Jesus has been replaced by the desires of sinful man, many of whom attend church on a regular basis, choose to ignore Biblical principles and live the “progressive” life of “if it feels good, just do it.”

Unless this country returns to the biblical principles it was founded upon, historically and biblically we can expect the wrath of Almighty, Holy God to descend, sooner than later.

Christians, we must restore prayer to our church and our individual lives.
