Woodrow Lovette, 84, of Millers Creek passed away Thursday, March 12, 2020, at his home. He was born Feb. 4, 1936, in Wilkes County to Vance Isaac and Beulah Bledsoe Lovette.
Woodrow was a member of Friendly Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Karen Y. Lovette; a son, Robert E. Lovette; a brother, Jimmy N. Lovette Sr.; and his sisters, Louise L. Howell, Linda L. Spears, Fay L. Foster, Betty L. Church, and Georgia L. “Bobbie” Summerlin.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Maltba Lovette; a son, Kevin Lovette and spouse, Christy, of Creedmoor; two daughters, Kimberly L. Reeves and spouse, Jimmy, and Gail Shumate and spouse, Ron, all of Millers Creek; his grandsons, Nathan Reeves and Chase Clayton; his granddaughters, Tiffany R. Minton and spouse, Brandon, Trisha Lovette, Chelsea Lovette, Haley Lovette and Courtney Shumate; his great-granddaughters, Kayley Minton and Maci Minton; a great-grandson, Cage Triplett; two brothers, William T. Lovette and Johnny W. Lovette of Millers Creek; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020, at Miller Funeral Chapel, with Brother Billy Wagoner and the Rev. Homer Maltba officiating. Entombment followed in Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family received friends at Miller Funeral Service from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, prior to the service.
