Remembering with smiles, laughter and many tears, Tracy Ulysses Barnes. Tracy was born June 30, 1966, in Wilkes County to Samuel Bailey and Irene Mattie Barnes. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, James (Viking) Barnes.
He leaves behind his companion, Melissa Gravely of the home; sister, Linda Kay Barnes of Wilkesboro; niece, Michelle Barnes; nephew, David Barnes; great-nephew, Quaicy Barnes; great-great nephew, Zayne Barnes; great-great niece, Kalie Barnes; and a broad host of cousins and numerous friends left to mourn Tracy’s passing.
The family would like to recognize Adrian, Brenda, Debbie, supervisors and the hundreds of floor and line personnel who will miss and mourn Tracy with good and sometimes not so good memories.
From high school to college to Holly Farms to Tyson Foods, Tracy was active in various sports. To all former ball team members, the family shares your sorrow and would like for you to know that all of you were important to Tracy.
The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a homeless shelter or sports league in Tracy’s name. The family has requested no food. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
