Tracy Scott Anderson

Tracy Scott Anderson, 53, of Traphill, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at Little Colorado Medical Center in Arizona.

Funeral services will be held noon, Monday, May 8, 2023, at Christian Home Baptist Church with Rev. Chad Hendren, Pastor Robert Wiles and Rev. Larry Adams officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, May 7, 2023, from 5-8 p.m at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Tracy was born May 11, 1969, in Wilkes County to Robert Ashley and Betty Lou Holloway Hawkins. He was a truck driver. Tracy loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, and gardening. Nothing was more important to him than God and his family.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Ashley Hawkins.

He is survived by his wife, Mattie “Darlene” Anderson of the home; a daughter, Amanda Shumate (Christopher) of Traphill; two sons, Dustin Anderson (Hayle) of Hays, Dillon Anderson (Jessica) of Traphill; eight grandchildren, Emma, Sadie, Easton, Kase, Kenslee, Mattie, Summerlyn, Barrett; his mother, Betty Holloway Hawkins of Hays; a sister, Gloria Church, brother Douglas Anderson (Janie) all of Traphill; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
