Ted Lewis Royal, 76, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Medical. Mr. Royal was born Feb. 21, 1945, in Wilkes County to Carl and Annie Ruth Hall Royal. He was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. Ted enjoyed building and working on cars, wood working, building things and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Ken Brown; and grandson, Christopher Younce.
Ted is survived by his wife, Bronda Royal of North Wilkesboro; his children, Jennifer King and spouse, Don, of Millers Creek, Jamie Royal and spouse, Kelly, of Purlear, Jason Royal and Melissa of North Wilkesboro, Joanna Williams and spouse, Matt, of Millers Creek; step-mother, Betty Royal of Purlear; brother, Fred Brown and spouse, Rita, of North Wilkesboro; sisters, Janice Combs and Audrey Blevins both of Purlear, Sandra Blevins of Millers Creek; grandchildren, Shana, Brandon, Anthony, Zachary, Joshua; and great-grandson, Rylie.
Graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Pilgrim Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Derek Kilby officiating. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6-8 Wednesday evening. Flowers will be accepted.
