Tandy Annette Walker, 41, of Roaring River passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2019, at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bobby Poole, the Rev. Robert Hill Jr., Overseer Francis Scott and the Rev. Casey Walker officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
Mrs. Walker was born July 26, 1978, in Wilkes County to Rayford and Kay Lavonne Gentry Walker. She worked as a lab technician for Solace Behavioral Health. Mrs. Walker received her bachelor’s degree from Winston-Salem State University and a master’s degree from Gardner-Webb University. She was member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher and choir member, and was a caregiver to her father.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Madison Belle Harris, and two sisters, Toni Nannette Walker Boles and Tabitha La-nette Walker Dick.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two sons, Jeffery Rayvon Harris and Mason Jermane Harris, both of Wilkesboro; one brother, the Rev. Casey R. Walker of Wilkesboro; her special friends, George Harris and Carmen Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
