Shannon Nicole Norman-Bochacki, 27, of Raleigh, better known as Nanner, Shannster and Shiny, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2020, at her home. She was born Oct. 13, 1992, to William S. and Pennie Russell Norman in Wilkes County.
Shannon earned bachelor’s degrees in psychology and philosophy from UNC-Asheville and was a certified self-defense instructor (RAD). She was a Mercury Complete Care Specialist (in every sense of the word) for Residential Management Systems (RMS) Inc.
She brought laughter and smiles to every space she entered. She took care of everyone and loved her family and friends deeply. Shannon was the kindest and most gentle person anyone could meet. Her exuberance and infectious enthusiasm enriched everyone around her. She always put others’ needs before her own, and there wasn’t any challenge she wouldn’t try to tackle with her renowned, beloved, headstrong personality. She was unstoppable when it came to any of her goals.
Her joyous love was in never-ending supply. Everyone was a better person for knowing her, and there are no words to describe how much she transformed everything she touched with her boundless energy.
She was preceded in death by her cherished grandmothers, Hazel Blackburn and Ruby Norman, and her great-grandparents, Ella Mae and Odell Walsh.
Surviving are her husband, Max Bochacki; her parents, William and Pennie Norman of Wilkesboro; a sister, Holly Norman and partner, William Bishop, of North Wilkesboro; her grandfather, Jesse “Papaw” Blackburn of Moravian Falls; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jacek and Zofia Bochacki of Cornelius; countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and, especially, her “catz catz,” Gabby and Ripley.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
