Samuel B. Davis Sr., 72, of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Scenic Memorial Gardens Chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Howell and the Rev. Monte Simmons officiating. Burial, with military honors provided by VFW Post 1142, will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Davis was born July 16, 1947, to Lonnie C. and Dorothy Love Davis. He was a member of First Church of God in Lenoir.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Flora Mae Horton.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn Lipford Davis of Lenoir; three daughters, Dorothy “Nina” Wilson and husband, Carlos, of Hickory, Alisha Oaks and husband, Van, of Winston-Salem and Brianna Howell and husband, Jahnoy, of Lenoir; four sons, Buddy Davis and wife, Lillian, of North Wilkesboro, Tony Howard of Lenoir, Samuel Davis Jr. and wife, Katherine, of Lenoir and Andy Rich of Lenoir; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; four sisters, Gladys Caldwell of Morganton, Marietta Lipford of Lenoir, Dorothy Davis of Lynchburg, Va., and Alda Mae Dula and husband, Dale, of Lenoir; and a brother, Charles Davis and wife, Barbara, of Ferguson.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
