Ruby Lavinia Miller Johnson, 84, of Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Wilkes Senior Village.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel, with the Rev. Billy Felts officiating. Burial will be in Yellow Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnson was born April 30, 1935, in Ashe County to Lawrence Miller and Nora Beshears Parsons. She was a homemaker and member of Oakwood’s Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. William Clifford Johnson; and a brother, Billy Dean Miller.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, Tony W. Johnson and wife, Dawn, of Nebo and Ricky and Betsy Johnson of Wilkesboro; two grandchildren, Matthew Johnson of Charlotte and Amanda Davis and husband, Scott, of Indian Land, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Cooper Davis and Trevor Davis; and two brothers, Albert B. Miller and wife, Betsy, of Wilkesboro and Tom Parsons of Shelby.
