Robert Franklin Clonch, 69, of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, May 18, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Medical Center. He was born July 13, 1950, in Wilkes County to Paul Eugene and Vecie Pauline Anderson Clonch.
Mr. Clonch was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. Robert enjoyed planting flowers and gardening. He enjoyed riding his tractor around, spending time with his grandson, Lyndon, eating Chinese food and going to the VFW to dance.
Mr. Clonch was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Griffin.
Surviving are his sons, Chad Clonch and spouse, Lindsey, of Wilkesboro, Robert Clonch Jr. of Traphill; a daughter, Cynthia Clonch Williams and spouse, Marty Ray, of Elkin; his brothers, Ray Clonch, Roger Clonch and Hurbert Clonch, all of North Wilkesboro, and Rex Clonch of Roaring River; his sisters, Pauline Brown of North Wilkesboro, Linda Felts of Hays, Janie Triplett of Millers Creek and Rosie Dimmette of Hays; his grandchildren, Lyndon Clonch of Wilkesboro, Matthew Clonch of Traphill and Savannah Grace Williams and Taylor McLain Williams, both of Elkin; and a special friend, Betty Reeves of McGrady.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
