Reba Miller Byers Absher

Reba Miller Byers Absher, 87, of Millers Creek, passed away, Friday, July 16, 2021, at her home.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Millsaps officiating. The public may view from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Reba was born May 5, 1934, in Wilkes County to Vance and Maude Roten Miller. Reba loved to cook and she fed everyone who came to visit. She loved to grow vegetables, flowers and she loved feeding wood to her woodstove.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Floyd Byers and Richard Absher; one son Michael Byers; and preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Reba is survived by one daughter, Joyce Bouchelle and husband, Wayne, of Wilkesboro; two sons, Danny Byers and wife, Wanda, of Millers Creek, Johnny Byers and wife, Maureen, of Millers Creek; three grandchildren, Jennie Handy and husband, Keith, Traci Woodruff and husband, Michael, Jackie Brown and husband, Steven; five great-grandchildren, Houston Handy, Austin Brown, Gavin Brown, Salem Woodruff and Zoey Woodruff; one sister, Rae Faw of Wilkesboro.

Flowers will be accepted.
