Raymon Oscar Jay, 85, of Purlear passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2021, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.
Private services will be held.
Mr. Jay was born Nov. 25, 1935, in Neodesha, Kan., to Oscar Otis and Lilly Biddle Jay. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, member of a bow-hunting club and competition, great handyman and jack of all trades.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Jay, and a step-grandson, Chad Allen Lovette.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Inez Owens Jay of the home; a daughter, Lisa Adams and husband, Mike; two sons, Brad Jay and wife, Donna, and Garry Jay, all of Parsons, Kan.; a sister, Wilma McGinnis of Mesa, Az.; a stepson, Rick Lovette and wife, Beth, of Wilkesboro; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and step-grandsons, Shay Lovette and Michael Eller.
