Penny Billings, of Moravian Falls, passed away Feb. 6, 2021, at the age of 58. She was born in Wilkes County on Jan. 5, 1963, to Charlie and Iris Billings. Penny graduated from WCC. She worked her whole life as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked many years at Wilkes Senior Village and the past eight years as a private caregiver for Violet Carson. She was devoted and loving to all of her patients. Penny was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her sons, Aaron Huffman of Moravian Falls and Chad Huffman of Moravian Falls; her mother, Iris Billings Combs and stepfather, Amos, of Millers Creek; brothers, Jeffrey Billings of Moravian Falls, Ricky Billings of Moravian Falls; sisters, Teresa Johnson of Moravian Falls, Sissie Fox of Taylorsville; and a proud “Mawmaw Penny” to seven grandchildren, Noah, Cheyanne, Montana, Dakota, Colton, Carter and Maveryck.
Graveside service for family and close friends was held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, 2021, at Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dean Adams officiating. Flowers will be accepted. Miller Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences may be made to www.miller
