Obed Ulises Garcia

Obed Ulises Garcia, 31, of Moravian Falls, passed away, Monday, May 15, 2023, at Atrium Health-Wake Forest-Winston Salem. Obed was born Sept. 21, 1991, in Fresnillo Zac Mexico to Eusebio and Catalina Sanchez. He enjoyed being a part of The Playmakers theatre, while in school. Obed loved to cook, was a licensed chef working at several restaurants. He was also employed with City Florist. Obed took special care of his pets and loved his dogs. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Julio Garcia; and grandmothers, Vicenta Jaquez and Irma Ortiz.

Obed is survived by his parents, Eusebio Garcia and Catalina Sanchez Garcia of Moravian Falls; brothers, Santos Garcia and spouse, Jen Houck, of Kentucky, Carlos Garcia and spouse, Debbie, of Tennessee, Edgar Garcia and Sahir Garcia (serving in the U.S. Army), both of Moravian Falls, Molesh Garcia of Winston- Salem; nieces and nephews, Samara Garcia and Alexandra Garcia, both of Kentucky, Maxton and Maisie Garcia, both of Tennessee, Lauren Garcia of Mexico, Guillermo Garcia of Yadkin County; grandfather and godfather, Guillermo Sanchez of Mexico.

Memorial service was held 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Miller Funeral Chapel Father Jose Rebaque officiating. The family received friends at Miller Funeral Service from 11-11:30 Saturday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted. Miller Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
