Nona Kay Goss, 56, of Ferguson passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at her home. Mrs. Goss was born Nov. 5, 1962, in Wilkes County to Russell Henry and Nona Ruby Greene Hamby.
Nona was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ferguson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Goss is survived by her husband, Tim Goss; a son, Malcolm Scott Hamby and spouse, Kimberly, of Ferguson; her daughters, Crystal Shepherd and spouse, Zack, of Millers Creek and Jennifer McGrady and spouse, Johnny, of Ferguson; her brothers, Bervin Hamby and spouse, Blanch, of Ferguson, J.C. Hamby and spouse, Etta Sue, of Lenoir and Wallace Hamby and Wayne Hamby, both of Ferguson; a sister, Mary Lackey of Wilkesboro; and six grandchildren, Ashlyn Shumate, Adalyn Shepherd, McKinley Shepherd, Nicole McGrady, Cadence Hamby and Breece Hamby.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ferguson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mount Zion Baptist Church from 1 until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service.
