Annette B. “Nette” Harris, 63, of North Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. She was born Feb. 28, 1956, in Alleghany County to Walter Brown Sr. and Vivian Bryan Brown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Harris, and one brother, Herbert Brown Sr.
She is survived by four sisters, Regina Parham and husband, Ronald, of Clarksville, Tenn., Bernice Jacobs of Patterson, N.J., Joyce Ann Brown of Hyattsville, Md., and Venia Price and husband, Goldie, of Hyattsville, Md.; four brothers, Walter Brown Jr., and wife, Cheryl, of Bristol, Va., Doug Brown and wife, Vera, of Glade Valley, Steve Brown of North Wilkesboro and Alvin Brown of Sparta; one stepson, Billy Harris of Charlotte; one step-grandson, Aiden Harris of Charlotte; two godsons, Zaim Garrett and Va`Shawn Garrett, both of Greensboro; one sister-in-law, Barbara Brown of Roaring River; two brothers-in-law, Michael Harris of Los Angeles, Calif., and Bill Harris of North Wilkesboro; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life service to honor the life of Annette was held at noon on Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daryl Florance officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home.
