Nancy Ann Greene Harless

Nancy Ann Greene Harless, 76, of Millers Creek, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at Atrium Health-Winston-Salem. Nancy was born July 13, 1946, in Wilkes County to Coolidge and EllaMae Staley Greene. She was a member of New Covenant Baptist Church. She loved her family and flowers. Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Coolidge Greene; mother, EllaMae Cox; son, Jimmy Dale Harless; sister, Francis Lovette; and brother, Archie Greene.

Nancy is survived by her spouse, John Harless of Millers Creek; sons, Timothy E. Harless and spouse, Sandra, of Millers Creek, Michael A. Harless Sr. and spouse, Janetm of Purlear; daughter, Penny Shumate and spouse, Talmadge, of Hays; grandchildren, Amy Shriner and spouse, Jay, of North Wilkesboro, Heather Shumate and spouse, Josh, of Hays, Michael Harless Jr. and Chad Harless both of Purlear, Kayla Pruitt and spouse, Michael, of McGrady, Kaitlyn Shumate of Hays; great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Madison, Sylar, Bentley, William, Mason, Addison, Noah, Gracelyn, Timothy, Nicholas, Chris and Michael; sisters, Edna McGuire and spouse, Bill, Kathy Huffman and spouse, Brent, all of Millers Creek.

Graveside service was held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Vision Baptist Church/Staley Cemetery with Rev. Chad Reavis officiating. The family received friends at Miller Funeral Service from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Susan G.
