Mary Lou Sturgill Adams 72, of Millers Creek passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020, at her home.
The family received friends at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home on Monday, June 29, 2020, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Burial was in Mountlawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Adams was born March 24, 1948, in Coalwood, W.Va., to Willard Jackson and Edna Gravely Sturgill. She was a bookkeeper at Gardner Glass Products.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Jackson and Edna Gravely Sturgill.
She is survived by her husband, Richard Burton Adams; four sons, Derrick Adams and wife, Stephanie, of Hamptonville, Rodney Eric Adams of Denver, Jason Adams and wife, Jennifer, of Ferguson and Brian Adams and wife, Angela, of Millers Creek; 11 grandchildren, Jamie Adams, Avery Adams, Hayden Adams, Hannah Adams, Breanna Pipes, Jacob Adams, Casey Adams, Kendra Adams, Austin Adams, Lauren Adams and Sarah Bare; three great-grandchildren, Easton Owings, Serena Pipes and Travis Blankenship; a sister Donna Michael of Rural Hall; and a brother, Kenneth Sturgill of North Wilkesboro.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38103.
