Linda Collins Blackburn transcended from this life on Aug. 31, 2021.
She was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Elkin to William Clyde Collins and Colene Calhoun Collins.
Linda is preceded in death by her father Clyde and nephew Rocco Ackerman.
Surviving family are her dear husband Tom Cirone, mother Colene, two daughters, Jamie Blackburn-Culler (husband Jamey) and Jenny Blackburn, Sister Lydia Ackerman; two grandsons, Corey Adams (fiancé Caroline and their daughter Tatum) and Brandon Adams (wife Morgan); two granddaughters, AJ Holderfield (husband Josh, children Mabry and Kix) and Miriam Culler; two nieces, Robyn Regan (husband JJ, son Jake) and Morgan Fisher (husband Hank, son Henry), Uncle James “JC” Calhoun (wife Darlene); aunts, Louise Calhoun, Barbara Calhoun, Maggie Collins and Ann Pruitt; close family friend, Terry Pardue; as well as several great-nieces, nephews and other dear friends in the community.
Linda was a gift to anyone who knew her, whether it be the first introduction or a lifelong friendship. A natural healer, Linda was passionate about caring for the people and animals around her. Although her departure from this life has left a significant hole in the hearts of many, those who knew her understand the peace she feels now. Her memory will live on in us all.
A memorial service was held at Johnson Funeral Home on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2021. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Linda’s honor to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
