Karl Heinz Kohlmeier, 85, of North Wilkesboro passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at Atrium Health Wake Forest-Wilkes Medical Center.
Memorial services will be held noon Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Timothy Pruitt II officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Kohlmeier was born Feb. 2, 1936, in Friedberg, Germany, to Heinrich August and Marie Geisel Geborene Kohlmeier.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Ann Galloway Kohlmeier, and a sister, Anita Nicely.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen Marie Childress of North Wilkesboro, Kristine Anita Elledge of Sherrills Ford; two sons, Steve Melvin Kohlmeier and wife, May, of Kannapolis, Eric Karl Kohlmeier and wife, Lori, of Wilkesboro; five grandchildren, Robin Johnson and husband, Jimmie, Chance Kohlmeier, Brandon Elledge, Ryan Elledge, Maydin Kohlmeier; four great-grandchildren, Samantha Johnson, Kyler Elledge, Grayson Elledge, Stephan Elledge; and two sisters, Giesela Breski and Ursela Adams, both of Illinois.
