Karen Mott Griggs

Karen Mott Griggs, 85, of North Wilkesboro, passed away May 17, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Karen was born June 6, 1937, in Rockland County, N.Y., to Clement and Margaret Squibb Mott. Karen worked as the director of gardens at Wilkes Community College until her retirement.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William (Bill) Kenneth Griggs.

Karen is survived by her three children, Eve Griggs of Wilkesboro, Pamala Key and husband, Danny, of North Wilkesboro; one son, Patrick Griggs and wife, Anna, of North Wilkesboro; brother, Richard Mott of Moravian Falls; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
