Hubert Burton Wagoner, 82, of North Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020. Mr. Wagoner was born Nov. 26, 1937, to Norman and Gracie Royal Wagoner.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Carol Wyatt; his brothers, Everette Wagoner and Clay “Short” Wagoner; and his sisters, Minnie Glass and Georgia Ellis.

Mr. Wagoner loved hunting and old car shows and attended Christian Fellowship Mission.

Mr. Wagoner is survived by his wife, Betty Brown Wagoner of North Wilkesboro; a son, Dean Wagoner and spouse, Kathy, of North Wilkesboro; a daughter, Joyce Mitchell and spouse, Allan, of North Wilkesboro; his brothers, Caswell Wagoner of Wilkesboro, Don Wagoner and spouse, Rachel, of North Wilkesboro, Jim Wagoner and spouse, Cathy, of North Wilkesboro, Wade Wagoner and spouse, Helen, of McGrady and Ricky Wagoner of North Wilkesboro, his sisters, Gay Tripplett and spouse, Daniel, of Purlear, Barbara Holbrook and spouse, Jim, of Moravian Falls and Cathy Calhoun and spouse, Bruce, of North Wilkesboro; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mr. Wagoner will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 24, 2020, at Christian Fellowship Mission, with the Rev. Roger Wagoner and the Rev. Mike Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Wagoner Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020.

Pallbearers will be Chris Mitchell, Tony Mitchell, Jimmy Wyatt, Derrick Wagoner, Nick Carlson, Neil Holleman, Luke Carlson and Andrew Johnson.
