“David” Mark Glanzer, 24, of Wilkesboro, beloved son of Mark and Debbie Glanzer, went on to be with our Lord Jesus on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018.
He had been living at home after battling neuro-Lyme disease. David graduated from Wilkes Central High School in 2012 as an N.C. Scholar and was a dean’s list engineering student at UNC-Charlotte. He was an avid skier and an accomplished downhill mountain biker. David was brilliant, fun and had an adventurous spirit. He had a keen interest in abstract math and quantum physics. David was loved and cherished by all his friends and family, and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are his parents, Mark and Debbie Glanzer; his brother, Brendan Becker; his sisters, Dara Lynn Biswas-Glanzer and husband, Nazmul, Janelle Shuford and husband, Aaron, and Mariah Glanzer; his grandparents, Janet Shanahan, John and Barb Rudy and Bud and Janice Glanzer; a nephew, Auggie Shuford; and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at The Gathering Church in Moravian Falls, with the Rev. David White officiating. Burial will follow in The Gathering Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 5 until 8 Saturday night.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miller Funeral Service in David’s honor.
