Charles James Lovette Sr., 77, of Ronda passed away Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 17, 2021, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Preacher Brandon Felts officiating, with military honors by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Lovette was born March 14, 1944, in Jackson, Ohio, to Blaine and Sadie Cornette Lovette. He served in the Navy in the Vietnam War.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amanda Victoria Transeau; a granddaughter, Alexandria Lovette; and a brother, Rick Lovette.
He is survived by his wife, Lilly Victoria Transeau Lovette, of the home; two daughters, Cameron Victoria of Ronda, Kelly Cathrine Lovette of Ohio; four sons, Blaine Eugene Lovette of Millers Creek, Tony James Lovette of Millers Creek, Charles James Lovette, Jr. of Ronda, Brandon Lee Lovette of Ronda; two step-sons, Gary Mathis and wife, Gina, of Taylorsville, Jackson Mathis and wife, Chasity, of North Wilkesboro; five grandchildren, Alex Lovette, Cole Lovette, Hayley Lovette, Holden Lovette and Brian Lovette; five step-grandchildren; and one brother, Roby Lovette of Florida.
