Brian Keith Griffin

Brian Keith Griffin, 52, with great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude announce the passing of our loving, caring, funny brother, son, uncle, and friend passed away, peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, May 5, 2023, from his courageous battle of lung cancer. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Vickie Lovette Griffin; Jim and Savannah Lovette, treasured grandparents; Bob and Delores Griffin, grandparents; beloved aunt, Kathy Lovette Darnell, uncle, Ricky Lovette; and cousin, Eric Lovette.

He graduated from Wilkes Central High School and began his career on his Lovette grandparents’ farm, transitioning to 25 years of long-distance truck driving. Thank you for all the sacrifices you made to keep this country moving with long dedicated hours. Without legendary truck drivers, our country could not survive. You made a difference in this world every day. Just by virtue of being you. You will be greatly missed but have left an incredible legacy to the ones you left behind. We will hold onto our memories close to hearts and find comfort in the remembrance of the smile on your face as you uttered the word ‘momma’ as you entered into Heaven. Because of the promise he made to his mom. “Do what’s right and do what’s good.” Be kind and help others in need because this world can always use more kind people. Ephesians 4:32 “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God forgave you in Christ.”

He is survived by his father, Robert Griffin of Pennsylvania; life-long girlfriend, Gail Johnson; his sister, Andrea Griffin Grogan and spouse, Richard, of Jefferson; niece, Savannah Grogan and nephew, Austin Grogan, whom he adored.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, May 15, 2023, at Miller Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kevin Souther officiating. Entombment will follow in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at Miller Funeral Service from 1-2 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted. Miller Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
