Randolph Bradford “Brad” Bryant, 82, of Elkin passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. Mr. Bryant was born Sept. 18, 1936, in Wilkes County to Olen and Hazel Wood Bryant.
Mr. Bryant was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He retired from Chatham Manufacturing and the Moravian Falls Post Office.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Bauguess Bryant, and two brothers, Foyle Bryant and Dwayne Bryant.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Mary N. Jenkins of the home; a son, Randy Bryant and wife, Linda, of King; a daughter, Kathy Rhodes and husband Randy, of Millers Creek; a stepdaughter, Lynne Jenkins of Statesville; his sister, Diana McCann and husband, Jeff, of Winston-Salem; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mike Smith officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Ronda Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., prior to the service at the church.
