Betty Inez Triplett Blackburn, 93, of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021, at Lewis Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Andrews and Rev. Mark Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The public may view Mrs. Blackburn Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blackburn was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Wilkes County to Dewey Vine and Anna Lillian Whittington Triplett. She loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed painting, gardening, reading, and loved arts and crafts. She was an avid church member and loved her church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Doyce Blackburn; three sisters, Lutrelle Greene, Edith Foster and Geniva Brown;
and a brother,
She is survived by four children, Danny Blackburn and wife, Sandra, of Wilkesboro, David Blackburn of Wilkesboro, Derrick Blackburn and wife, Misty, of Boomer and Michael Blackburn and wife, Judy, of Wilkesboro; 10 grandchildren, Jason, Jonah, Joel, Nathan, Aaron, Jessica, Coby, Luke, Sherry and Samantha; 15 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Noah, Dylan, Toree, Cora, Makynlie, Kasen, Connor, MJ, Austin, Logan, Josh, Bryson, Alexis and Joshua; several nieces and nephews; and a sister, Norma Jean Wood of Wilkesboro.
