Bessie “Diane” Hall, of North Wilkesboro passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at the age of 65 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her granddaughter, sisters, niece and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Eugene Yoder and Edna Gladys Yates; previous husband Jerry Dowell; brothers Robert Yoder, Timothy Yoder, Ernie Morgan and James Morgan; sister Bobby Jean Yoder. She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dale Hall; her children Melissa Lofgren and Jamie West; grandchildren (known as Grandmaw), Summer Dawson (Wesley), Tommy Lofgren, Dalton Lofgren, Melinda Lofgren, Kelsey and Tessa; two great-grandchildren (known as MeMaw), Destiny and James. In addition, she is survived by her sisters Connie Phillips (Ken), Gerrie Hildebrand (Ed), Teressa Morgan and Arlene Morgan, nieces Shannon Conley, Crystal Doss, Lindsey Stratmann, Rebecca Mass, Chelsea Owens, Christie Smith, Angela VanCuren, and Brandy Morgan; nephews Gary Conley, Joey Haney, Ed Hildebrand, Randy Dowell, Josh Dowell, Jesse Lackner, Jacob Sederlin, Stephen Cochran and Cody Morgan.
Bessie was born Sept. 10, 1956, in Tazwell County, Va. She was passionate about helping others and enjoyed crocheting, reading, traveling with her sisters, and cooking and spending time with her family. She had an open-arms policy that enabled her to help many throughout the years. She was a firm believer in second changes and forgiveness.
There will be a Celebration of Life service on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021, at Miller Funeral Service, 180 Sparta Road, North Wilkesboro, N.C. 28659 at 11 a.m.
