Barbara Wingler Phillips, 72, of Moravian Falls passed away Friday, July 17, 2020. Mrs. Phillips was born Oct. 29, 1947, in High Point to Lloyd Vince Wingler and Hazel Duncan Wingler.
Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Phillips attended Boiling Springs Baptist Church when she was able. She was a hard worker and a wonderful mother. Mrs. Phillips loved her animals and her grandchildren. She worked as a long-haul truck driver and for Carl Rose and Sons before becoming disabled.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughters, Tamara Ford and spouse, Tracy Somers, of Hamptonville and Donna Lapish and spouse, Chad, of Purlear; her granddaughters, Alexis Ford of Moravian Falls, Adrianna Harrs and spouse, Jacob, of Winston-Salem, Madison Lapish of Purlear, Kristain Miller and spouse, Quincy, of Millers Creek, Amanda Parsons of Purlear and Hannah Huffman, of Ferguson; a grandson, Chance Huffman of Wilkesboro; and her great-grandchildren, Alana Hayes, Jase Miller and Connor Huffman. Also surviving is her companion and special furry friend, her dog, Kimba.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 24, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, with Pastor Joey Moore officiating.
