Annie Davis Jarvis, 85, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at Westwood Hills Nursing & Rehab Center. Mrs. Jarvis was born Feb. 9, 1938, in Wilkes County to Ralph Lee and Nellie Victoria Davis. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in the Windy Gap community. Annie was retired with Southern Bell Telephone office in Greensboro and Statesville. She enjoyed gardening, playing Bible trivia with 3WC and she never met a stranger. She loved her family and loved her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her spouse, Doyle C. Jarvis; brother, Thomas William Davis; sisters, Ada Davis Johnson, Patsy Ruth Davis and Rachel Naomi Davis.
Annie is survived by her brother, John R. Davis of Charlotte; nephews, Dennis L. Johnson of Wilkesboro, Keith H. Johnson of Millers Creek; nieces, Renea D. Dellinger of Union Grove, Tanya R. Davis of Mt. Airy; great nephews, Danny L. Johnson and spouse Mandy of North Wilkesboro, Zachary Johnson of Wilkesboro, Camron Key of Mt. Airy, Jackson Dellinger of Union Grove; great-nieces, Ashlyn A. Key of Mt. Airy, Annagrace Dellinger of Concord; great-great-nephew, Andrew L. Johnson of Wilkesboro; and uncle, Gurney Davis of North Wilkesboro.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2023, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Windy Gap, with Pastor William Souther officiating. Burial will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
