Anne Hudgins Stone, 87, passed away peacefully at home in Madison, Tenn., on April 19, 2021. She was born on Aug. 30, 1933, in Roanoke, Va., to Henry and Blanche Hudgins. She was preceded in death by Clarence (Pete) Stone, her husband of 66 years.
Mrs. Stone was a homemaker and talented seamstress who loved music. She was a former member of Wilkesboro Baptist Church and a member of Dickerson Road Baptist Church in Madison, Tenn.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie Stone Chevalier, and spouse, Hugues Chevalier; son Bill Stone and spouse, Lisa Stone; three grandchildren; three great-granddaughters; her beloved niece, Sharon Keys, and spouse, Peg Peebles; and the loving staff of Maybelle Carter Senior Living who have been part of the family for the past nine years.
A private burial service will be held at a later date at the Nashville National Cemetery, where she will rest adjacent to her late husband.
