Alvin E. Wyatt passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born May 4, 1938, in Wilkes County to Alfred and Annie Bell Wyatt.
Under his gruff exterior lay a man with passion. He loved the Lord, his wife, his family, hunting and fishing, the great outdoors, animals, Westerns and farm fresh food, especially his wife’s biscuits
fresh out of the oven. As a graduate of the school of life, Alvin served his country for six years as a member of the U.S. Army. He finally was able to enjoy a Johnny Paycheck moment after retiring from the Wilkes County Public Schools Maintenance Department with over 30 years of hard labor. He loved us all. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Annie Bell Brown Wyatt; his brothers, Everette Wyatt, Tam Wyatt; and his sister, Jean Brown.
He is survived by his “honey lamb” wife of 59 years, Edella Handy Wyatt; his daughter, Brenda Wyatt of the home, his son; Randy Wyatt and spouse, Shelia; his son, Ronnie Wyatt and spouse, Angie; his daughter, Betty McCloud and spouse, Andy; his grandchildren, Nichole Wyatt, Ashley Stone and spouse, James, Taylor Wyatt, Sarah McCloud, and Emma McCloud; his great-grandchildren, Jordan Stone and twins, Kora and Summer Stone; and his siblings, Katherine Lenderman, Lorine Billings, Ada Sue Felts and Wayne Wyatt.
