Type of vehicle sought in fatal hit and run

Wilkesboro Police Chief Craig Garris said Tuesday that the type of vehicle that hit two people walking on the Curtis Bridge Road bridge over the Yadkin River and then left the scene was a 2017-2019 base model Kia Soul. Garris said the car probably is white and has front end damage concentrated on the lower passenger side. He said the white vehicle in the photo is an example of the vehicle being sought. Garris said anyone who has seen such a vehicle is asked to call the Wilkesboro Police Department at 336-667-7277 or 911 with the location and, if possible, the license plate number and police will investigate.
