According to the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services, no tests of samples from people in Wilkes County had come back positive for COVID-19 as of 11 a.m. Sunday, March 22,
DHHS reported 255 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 out of 6,438 known test results as of 11 a.m. Sunday. That’s up from 184 confirmed positive cases out of 5,276 known test results Saturday morning.
North Carolina still had no deaths from COVID-19 as of Sunday morning.
Nationwide, there were 15,219 confirmed positive cases and 201 deaths by Friday. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention updates nationwide numbers at 4 p.m. Monday-Friday.
