Effective at 5 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, public access to the Wilkes Journal-Patriot building will temporarily be suspended to help ensure the safety of our staff, customers and the entire community amid the rapid rise of COVID-19 cases in Wilkes County. Staff of the newspaper will be available to provide assistance remotely during this time.
