The Wilkesboro Police Department charged a man with breaking and entering and larceny in connection with an incident in the Tyson Foods Inc. chicken processing complex on Oct. 8.

The North Wilkesboro Police Department arrested Todd Wayne Worsham, 46, of Robin Lane Road, North Wilkesboro, on the Wilkesboro warrant later on Oct. 8, reported Wilkesboro Officer P.M. Brown.

Wilkesboro Officer N.P. Wells said Worsham is charged with using a coat hanger to reach through an open sun roof on a Honda Prelude and remove a gold chain worth $300 from a rearview mirror late on the morning of Oct. 8. Phillip Dwayne Muse of Boomer, owner of the car and the gold chain, reported the theft.

Wells said an investigation determined that Worsham was at the Tyson Foods complex concerning possible employment on Oct. 8 and signed out from a plant but then returned to ask for a coat hanger, saying he needed it to unlock his car because he had locked his keys inside it.

Wells said a security video appeared to show Worsham using a coat hanger to reach through the sun roof of the Honda.
