Just in time for summer, the stage heats up with Scythian and Brother Oliver on Saturday, June 19, at the Yadkin Valley Marketplace. Scythian, a usual suspect at Merle Fest, promises a high-energy folk explosion.

Performances continue on third Saturdays through October with the Embers with Craig Woolard, Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute Band, Country artist Alex Hall and Chelsea Sorrel & Runaway Train and finally American reggae group the Elovaters. All shows are free and are sponsored by Window World Inc. and the Town of North Wilkesboro.

For June's show, the CBD Loop in front of the marketplace will be closed to traffic in order to expand the venue’s footprint, allowing for additional space to spread out. There will be a handicap drop off area on the Loop. Participants should bring chairs and blankets, and leashed pets are okay. Social distancing and masking for non-vaccinated attendees is encouraged when not with your friend or family group.

Food will be available on site, or attendees can take a short walk to downtown restaurants. The Downtown North Wilkesboro Partnership will operate a beer and seltzer tent. Visit downtownnorthwilkesboro.com for more information.
