The ECMD Inc. Board of Directors has promoted Todd Meade to president and CEO of the North Wilkesboro-based company, effective immediately.
Meade succeeds Joe Woods, who resigned from the company to pursue other opportunities.
“There is no better person to lead ECMD than Todd,” said Allen Dyer, ECMD founder and board chairman. “Todd is a proven leader who will provide our teams with the stability and continuity needed to execute our plans and preserve the culture that has been the foundation of our success.”
Dyer said that since joining the company in 1985, Meade has been a leader in all aspects of the business - from sales, operations, manufacturing and distribution to most recently as senior vice president of business process management.
Meade stated, “I am humbled and honored for this opportunity to lead a committed, great team. Our mission to improve the lives of our employees is firmly in place and I will ensure continued investment in people, processes and systems to allow our customers get what they need, when they need it, every time.”
ECMD is a manufacturer, importer and distributor of specialty building materials. With over 800 employees in 12 sites, it partners with 4,000 independent lumber yard customers and big-box retailers nationwide.
