Marshals for WCC graduation

Marshals for Wilkes Community College’s 56th annual graduation exercises, held in the Walker Center Friday, were announced last week. They were chosen for their top academic standing.

There were two ceremonies, one for graduates in the Arts & Sciences Division and Business & Public Service Technologies Division and the other for graduates in the Applied Career Technologies Division and Health Sciences Division.

The marshals

• William Lee Epley, son of Jimmy and Krista Epley of Hays and Wilkes Early College High School (WECHS) student in associate in arts program;

• Autumn Marie Williams, daughter of Billy and Angela Williams of Purlear and WECHS student in associate in science program;

• Brenna Faith Maloney, daughter of John and Kathy Maloney of Jefferson and student in the Career and College Promise College Transfer Pathway program leading to an associate in arts degree;

• Amara Faith Epley, daugther of Jimmy and Krista Epley of Hays and WECHS student in associate in arts program;

• Richard Silva-Jimenez, son of Erika Jimenez Mancilla of West Jefferson and Ashe Early College High School student in associate in arts program;

• Lillie Kathryn Faw, daughter of Amy Faw of Boomer and the late Mark Faw and student in associate in arts program;

• Kara Gail Lewis, daughter of John and Regina Lewis of Moravian Falls and Career and College Promise College Transfer Pathway student leading to associate in arts degree;

• Melanie Brooke Shatley, wife of Seth Shatley and daughter of Mark and Kelly Day, all of West Jefferson. She is in the business administration program;

• Hannah Ellen Bumgarner, daughter of Mark and Melissa Bumgarner of Millers Creek and student in associate in arts program;

• Maleyah Chanel Ceasar of Jonesville, daughter of Victor Ceasar of Hagerstown, Md., and Katrina Winston of Jonesville and student in associate in general education-radiography program;

• William Francis Miller of North Wilkesboro, husband of Amanda Miller and student in business administration program;

• Jacob Davis Spriggs of Ronda, son of Richard Spriggs of Ronda and Wendy Spriggs of North Wilkesboro.and student in associate in arts program;

• Alex Luna, son of Jose Luna and Emelia Pardo of West Jefferson and student in associate in arts program.
