Hendrix Kash LaCaze, with mother Jordyn O’Neal and father Justin LaCaze, became Wilkes Medical Center’s first birth of 2023 at 8:45 a.m. Jan. 1. He weighed 6 pounds, 5 ounces. They received a $100 Walmart gift card, blanket, toy, diapers, wipes and bath items from the hospital.
