SEEING IN COLOR benefit walk/run raised almost $1,100 for the Ocular Immunology and Uveitis Foundation in honor of Marina Dancy, a 12-year-old girl who was diagnosed with the rare inflammatory eye disease in 2015. The event, in partnership with the Town of Wilkesboro, was organized as a school project by Elizabeth Dancy of Wilkesboro, a rising senior at Wilkes Early College High School. It was held Saturday, June 1, at Cub Creek Park in Wilkesboro.
