The Rev. Andy Walker

The Rev. Andy Walker was honored at a 75th birthday celebration on July 19.

It was given by his wife, Dorothy Walker, and daughter, Monica Brewer, at the Mountain View Ruritan Club, Hays. Approximately 50 guests attended.

Family and friends were served a meal of barbecue, baked beans, cole slaw and rolls, along with tea, pink lemonade, water and soft drinks. A table, decorated with a black, gold and white birthday centerpiece, matching star balloons and a star cascade centerpiece, was set aside for a punch fountain and cake.

The 75th birthday cake was decorated in black, yellow and silver, with balloons, confetti and matching borders and writing.

Decorations included star balloons in black, gold and silver, as well as “75” balloons, confetti, banners, sparking swirls, cut-outs, historical placemats and matching tablecloths. A 75th photograph backdrop was set up.  The gift table was decorated with star cascades, balloons and a centerpiece in the chosen colors of black, gold and silver.

Members of a gospel group entertained the guests before and during the meal.
