Brittany Dare Oxentine and Joshua Todd Treadaway were united in marriage July 22, 2017, at Meadow Creek in Deep Gap. The Rev. Brandon Felts officiated at the 5 p.m. ceremony. Wedding music was provided by Erica Mae Rattler and Charles Walker Oxentine.

The bride is the daughter of Charles Eric Oxentine and Misty Dawn Oxentine of Winnie Lane, Boomer. She is a graduate of Wilkes Central High School and is attending Wilkes Community College.

The groom is the son of Anthony Dean Treadaway and Rosemary Felts Treadaway of Statesville Road, North Wilkesboro. He is a graduate of Wilkes Central High School and is employed by Carolina Custom as a welding fabricator.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a romantic lace designer gown featuring a sweetheart neckline. The fit and flare silhouette flared out into a subtle skirt, accented with scalloped lace trim. Hand-sewn clear beading embellished the gown. Stella York assisted with the gown, which was hand-sewn in Australia.

Carolyn Church provided the bride’s flowers, which were arranged by Sandy Wood.

Erica Rattler of Blowing Rock was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jessica Greene of Deep Gap, and Samantha Earp of Boone. Montana Rattler was junior bridesmaid.

Nova Riddle was flower girl. Amy Grace Greene attended the guest register.

Following a wedding trip to Parkside Resort in Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple is residing in Union Grove.


A reception was held in honor of the bridal couple at Meadow Creek in Deep Gap. Guests were served a barbecue meal, along with wedding cake.

Assisting in serving were Carolyn Church, Stephanie Pardue and Deborah Howell.

Rehearsal dinner

The prospective groom’s parents, Anthony and Rosemary Treadaway, were hosts at a rehearsal dinner honoring the bridal couple, at Meadow Creek.
