Chastin Marinn Eller and Thomas Matthew Layne were united in marriage on Sept. 17 at Camp Harrison/Herring Ridge in Boomer. The groom’s grandfather, the Rev. Darrell Poole, officiated at the ceremony.
Guests started arriving slightly after 3 p.m. Disney music selected by the groom was playing as guests made their way down the path to the ceremony site by Lake Broyhill’s shoreline on Lowe’s Point.
The bride wore a vintage lace overlay, champagne-colored gown, with a matching veil and carried a cascading bouquet.
The bridal couple joined their guests for a reception in the Ruth and Billy Graham Chapel. Camp Harrison’s Culinary Staff assisted with the reception.
Guests were served a 12 layer wedding cake, adorned with fruit, made by the groom’s mother, Tammy Layne.
The wedding directors, servers and set-up team included family and friends of the bridal couple, who volunteered their time to make the day special for the couple. Michelle Dix and her staff assisted with the photography, including drone footage from above.
The couple left the reception in the groom’s grandparents’ classic 1956 Ford Thunderbird convertible.
